Healthcheck
For many people a computer healthcheck will fix a slow PC, remove unwanted malware and bring peace of mind. Healthchecks are yet
more popular with computer repair companies. They bring in customers and an opportunity to upsell something perhaps anything.
At RepairaPC we believe healthchecks are useful if:
- Your PC as slowed down significantly
- You are worried about your data
- You are worried about your privacy
- Your computer has become excessively noisy
- Your PC takes a very long time to start or shutdown
- You find strange things happen such as files seem to disappear
Over time a computer may, if not carefully monitored build up junk programs, data and malware. Potential problems may lurk within
the hardware (the physical mechanic & electronics) or the software (the programs that run on the hardware). If, like many others,
you never shop, bank or enter personal details amd don't mind the delay then you may feel you can forgo a healthcheck.
However if you do store or use personal or important data or you find your PC as become very slow then a PC healthcheck may be for
you.
Computer Healthchecks include:
- A full diagnostic test of your hard disk (this is where your data is kept - you should ensure you have done a backup before the healthcheck).
- Other major components will be tested.
- Temporary files and othe junk files will be removed including,unless otherwise informed, the contents of the "Recycle Bin"
- Unnecessary programs will be removed
- Malware will be removed
- Startup software will be optimised
- Virus & Spyware infections will be removed
- Excessive dust will be removed from inside the computer
- System disk will be optimised
- Registry will be optimised
Healthchecks are usually pre-arranged and carried out at base as some of the tests run for hours and with many computers it would not be possible to do
our thorough healthcheck onsite without charging much more. The computer healthcheck is usually completed in 24 hours.
